Development of Initial Ideas

Development of Initial Ideas
Representation of chosen Target Audience:
The target audience for my music video will be generally for males and females of any age, but will specifically be aimed at males and females between the ages of 17 and 25. As I fit into this age range, I feel that it will be easier for me to display the correct content in my video that would appeal to this audience, as I am aware of what people of this age enjoy seeing in a music video. As the genre of the song I am using in my music video is becoming more mainstream aswell as the artist constantly growing in popularity, I think it will be easier for people to enjoy the video and accompanying music as opposed to an unfamiliar song and genre that they have never heard of.

Logo ideas to represent label company:
The record label I intend to use to represent my music video will be just a simple picture of something that represents the genre, along with a suitable label name. I thought of a few simple names for my record label, but finally decided on the name Dizzy Duck Productions, which isn't personally related to me but is still simple, original and it would be easy to create a suitable logo relevant to the name. To add more intertextuality to the logo, I decided to include an image of Daffy Duck; the infamous character from the hit cartoon Looney Tunes.
Here are some examples of the images I am considering using for my logo:

Actors and Locations:
As the song only features lyrics from a solo artist, I will only need 1 female to be the main artist in my music video, which will be myself. I have decided to feature in my video as I feel this will save time and will reduce any re-scheduling arrangements. As the song is also a personal favourite of mine, there will be no need to spend time waiting for an alternate person to learn the lyrics. To ensure my video is creative and doesn't just focus on the artist and their singing, I intend to include a story which has similar references to the song. As the title of the song is 'Only Girl in the World', it would be a good idea to try and get across the song title in the storyline. To do this, I am going to include a storyline whereby a woman (also the main singer) has found out her boyfriend has been another person. Their previous happiness and her heartbreak will be conveyed throughout the video, with cross references to the lyrics. This will show amplification in my video.
I will film my video in locations that are easily accessible to me and do not require any extraneous travel arrangements. I will also aim to avoid filming on places that require seeking permission from the land owner etc.
Locations that I plan on filming my video include a dark room, a nearby forest and a bedroom. I assume that I will be able to film in all of these locations without complication.
